In surprising MLB news, it’s being reported that Shohei Ohtani‘s locker has been cleared out at Angels Stadium.
According to Sports Illustrated, the locker that the 29-year-old baseball star occupies at the stadium in Anaheim, Calif., has been cleared out, and his possessions taken out of it.

The outlet reports that The Angels have stated that there will no statement tonight on the situation, but will have one on Saturday (September 16) about the situation.
Shohei, who (with endorsements and salary combined) is the highest paid MLB player, hasn’t played in a game since last week. He’d suffered an oblique injury, and is also nursing a torn UCL.
The locker clear out news might hint at a possible Angels exit for Shohei, even though manager Phil Nevin has previously stated that the athlete was looking to return this season.
The Angels lost to the Detroit Tigers 11-2 during Friday’s game.
